I meant for this to be our first stop, but I forgot. I wish it had been our first stop. It's far more informative than the visitor's center with a big relief map of Alaska, films, and exhibits. It helped everyone get oriented AND they told us where we could walk to see salmon running, so we got to do something fun and touristy on our first day (otherwise spent trying to figure out what gear we still needed to get for our trip).
