check back in an hour
We touched down in Anchorage about midnight (aka 4 am for those of us who were still operating on home time), two hours late. Thirty minutes of baggage claim and then we went to pick up the rental car.... and were told that it would be an hour or so before it was available! Dad made an attempt at sleeping.
Lesson of the day: send someone for the rental car as soon as you get off the plane.
