ice scrape

One thing I never figured out was what caused these scrapes on the ice. They are generally less than an inch deep, about an inch wide, and perfectly straight. There would be scrapes that were 20 or 30 feet long on the surface of the ice. Here, I thought the rock had slid and scraped the ice, until I realized that the scrape continued on for another 20 feet on the other side of the rock as well. Ideas, anyone?
