iceberg lake
Our hike the day before was about 10 hours, which was right on target with the estimate that we'd been given. We'd been told to expect a 2 hour hike around Iceberg Lake, and then we would be at our pickup spot. We relaxed in our beautiful campsite until 3pm on Sunday, and recharged our batteries, then packed up to hike to our pickup area. It was quite flat along the edge of the lake, and we took a leisurely pace, tracking bears (LOTS of bear prints) and surprising ptarmigans. I think the young ptarmigans couldn't fly yet, because they would startle but then the whole group of them would walk away instead of flying.
