where do we sit?
It turned out that the lake was extremely full and had made an island of the usual landing strip. The site we had picked out was apparently adequate, but hadn't been used before, which is why he had to fly over so many times. They had figured out that they would have problems picking us up a few days earlier, when they had brought some folks to that strip for a dropoff. They couldn't do the dropoff because of the landing strip problem.
Since the usual strip wasn't available, they weren't sure where we'd be or where they'd have to land, so we got the little plane. Which one of us will have to ride on the other wing?
